$50k to Sign Your Name: A Definitive Guide to Becoming a Mobile Signing Agent
FOREWORD
I’m a mobile signing agent. Essentially, that means I am a notary public that specializes in real estate transactions. I travel within my city, meeting up with homeowners at banks, real estate offices or at their kitchen table. My job is to help sign off on a small stack of documents related to a new home purchase or the refinance of an existing home.
I check ID’s (very important), point a few times to a line that says “sign here†and officially notarize their signatures. Once that’s done, I drop those documents in the mail and…well…..that’s it. The process, front-to-back including travel takes about 90 minutes and for that task, I get paid between $75-$125 and I perform that task 3-5 times a day.
Nearly every day I hear the question, “Is this what you do? You run around with papers and have people sign them?†In fact, it is. It’s what I do. In simplest form, I get paid to sign my name.
“How can I do what you do?â€
That’s why I wrote this book. There’s a lot of demand for making more money in less time and people (like you) are willing to pay a few bucks to find out how. You paid for it. Now it’s my turn. So, let’s get started.
If you are going to do what I do, you have to have some minimum qualifications. I started with no training, no references, no equipment, no money and no clue so, if that describes you, you are on the right track. You don’t need a specialized degree or experience. What you do need is to meet the following criteria for becoming a notary public:
to be over 18,
pass a background check, and
speak English.
If you can check off each of those, the rest is covered on the pages that follow. There are a few steps to get there, but the whole process is easy. It’s actually embarrassingly easy.
Whether you get started today, tomorrow or a month from now, this book will be worth what you paid to get it.
