American Relic

At seventeen years of age and recently orphaned, Kenny Peterson’s life will never be the same after he is swept away from the life he knew. On a rural farm in Ohio, he meets the grandfather he’d believed dead and a spiritual man named Steve. Out of tragedy, Kenny discovers the life that might have been his if his father hadn’t made every attempt to sever all links to the family homestead. Starting over at the end of senior year probably would have overwhelmed Kenny if it weren’t for Daisy-an extrovert beauty who takes sudden interest in the new boy at school. He’s even lucky enough to be accepted by the guys at lunch. But try as he may, he’s unable to escape trouble in his new home. As misfortunes multiply, the dark family history from which his father escaped threatens to consume him and those he holds dear. Everything happens for a reason, but here in rural Ohio, everything is not always what it seems.
