The quiet Amish town of Serenity Falls is usually an idyllic place where one can live and work in peace. But when a string of arsons causes irreparable damage to multiple properties and threaten the lives of several citizens, the town grows chaotic with panic.



The crimes interrupt the life of Katie Bontrager, a young woman trying to raise her sister and brothers alone after the death of their parents. She grows determined to figure out who is wreaking havoc on Serenity Falls before her only possessions in this world go up in flames.



Yon Hochstetler’s has even more of a reason to discover the identity of the culprit; he has already lost his woodworking shop and his beloved cat Hezekiah in the fires. With little else to lose, he teams up with Katie to put an end to the fiery madness. Yet as the two get closer to the truth, they unwittingly put themselves in terrible danger.
