The owners of the Sunset Beach Resort in Key West, where Loni McLean has a long-term lease on a cottage and a dock, has unilaterally cancelled the lease and used a technicality to expropriate the remainder of the prepaid lease fee. Loni McLean immediately files a breach-of-contract lawsuit against the resort.

The live-aboard yacht belonging to Loni's friends, Dallas Kincade and Gina Kelly, is permanently docked at the cottage, so the resort management makes Dallas and Gina the target of a harassment campaign aimed at convincing McLean to withdraw his lawsuit. Eventually, the harassment escalates to the point that Loni and his friends must take appropriate action against the perpetrators.
