Chapters on collecting antiques, buying and selling antiques, auctions, fakes, insurance and appraisal, antiques and the government and conservation and restoration. Also covers specific types of antiques such as furniture, jewellery, ceramics, glass, textiles, folk art, photographs, etc. Most chapters include a bibliography and a list of other information sources such as associations, dealers, etc. Well-illustrated with black and white photographs.
