The second book in a series on the Collection de l’Art Brut in Lausanne, Switzerland, this title presents architecture-themed work by outsider artists from around the world—including Joseph Crépin, whose work was cited as an example by the surrealists; Royal Robertson, whose art is in the permanent collections of the Smithsonian, among other major museums; Gregory Lee Blackstock, an autistic artist from Seattle; and George Widener, whose works are in major museums around the world—offer a vision of architecture that opens up a new dimension, escaping all practical considerations. Color illustrations, a short biography, and a bibliography are provided for each of the 52 international artists whose paintings, sculptures, drawings, and embroideries are featured.
