Davy Crockett: Not Yours to Give

“Not Yours to Give” is a true story from the life of the American icon—Davy Crockett. Many people remember Crockett as a war hero and frontiersman, but not all remember that he also served his country as a statesman in both the Tennessee General Assembly and the U.S. House of Representatives. In this story, Davy was making rounds on the campaign trail when he ran into a constituent who made some striking accusations against him concerning his faithfulness to the Constitution. Davy questioned the man further and soon came to some startling and life transforming revelations. This is a story that needed to be told then, but perhaps it is even more relevant for us today.
