With text in French, this book was designed specifically for young university students coming out of the Canadian public school system. It focuses in particular on students entering their first year of university French after grade 12 or 13 of high school. The level is intermediate. This book is a learning tool which incorporates research in the area of learning to write French as a second language. It emphasises group work, revision, and step-by-step learning, all of which demystify the experience of writing in a foreign language. The teacher's manual includes answers to questions asked in the text, and comes with a CD-ROM which reviews the major points of each chapter.
