Megan has left her home behind and is hoping to forget her past. After answering Caleb Williams's advertisement for a mail order bride, she travels to Wallace, Idaho, eager to be a wife and a stepmother to Caleb's three-year-old daughter.



Caleb Williams is absolutely certain he didn't advertise looking for a wife, and he is not at all happy about the arrival of the beautiful blonde woman who is claiming to be his fiancée. It doesn't take long, however, for him to decide that marriage to Megan might be just what he needs. After all, there are some definite benefits to be had, and it would do his daughter good to have a female role-model about the house...



Megan is shocked to the core when she first discovers that Caleb is a firm believer in domestic discipline. Can she learn to trust her new husband enough to be an obedient wife, or will he have to teach her obedience the old fashioned way: by putting her over his knee?
