'POLSKI krok po kroku - junior' is a modern textbook for teaching Polish as a foreign language to children and young people in the 10-15 age range. Interesting, motivational and full of humour, the lessons strike the right balance between grammar, vocabulary and improving your pronunciation and communication skills. From the very beginning, they are set entirely in Polish, with the aim of encouraging young people to speak and think exclusively in the language. 'POLSKI krok po kroku - junior' features: - young heroes in real life school situations. - content tailored to the age of the readers - a world which is familiar to young people (school, home, friends, new technology) - a variety of material presented against the background of Polish culture. - authentic role play situations which inspire the reader to speak - intuitive grammar tables - attractive and functional graphics The exercise book consists of ten chapters which are intended to deliver around 60 hours of study, and the subjects covered are correspond to the middle of level A1 Each chapter is divided into four subsections, which are supplemented with a revision section and an optional section called 'PLUS dla ambitnych' (PLUS for the ambitious), with complementary, more difficult material. A glossary of newly learnt words and phrases has been developed for each chapter and translated into English, German and Russian With the book comes an mp3 CD with over 2.5 hours of recordings. As part of the series, in the near future we will be releasing: a workbook, containing not only additional tasks, but also new text and recordings, language games and fun which will inspire the student to speak in Polish; a teachers manual with valuable tips, games and ideas how to spice up the lessons, and tests for each chapter.
