Point the Way
This is the book that started my career as a teacher/writer/player. I wrote this book in 1989 when I was training in my basement. Naturally, on my way to the top I was plagued by inner demons and had to work through a host of inner game problems. While I was training I jotted down notes so I could actually teach myself to get beyond the self-defeating elements that ruled my actions.
Nothing can take the place of persistence. I don't feel as though I have significant talent. The wayside is filled with unsuccessful talented men. I was not a genius, for many a genius went unrewarded and I was not educated. We find many derelicts that possess a fine education. What I had going for me is the ability to stay faithful to my training.
It is my pleasure to share with you my strength, hope and experience. I cannot teach you at the cost of your experience for then I would be the worst of masters. There are things you need to go through, for there is no other way to learn the skills you need to be a winner, but as one who has travelled the road I can point the way.
