Twelve-year-old Elijah Jonas has suddenly become a partner to his truck driver father Micah. After the death of his mother, Elijah stopped talking. Believing that he needed to be with his father, his grandparents gave him over to Micah, who lives in his semi truck. Now Elijah must learn how to live the lifestyle of an over-the-road truck driver. Gradually, both of them heal over the loss of their beloved wife and mother. And together they learn to know God better as they travel from one end of the country to the other, living in the truck, meeting new people every day.
