Behind the mask of a successful athlete and fraternity leader, heâ€™s dogged by questions about his homosexuality. To protect his secret, he violates his moral code. Confronting the ugly face of racism, he ï¬nds his inner voice. He protests against the war. His overbearing father forces him to conform. But he breaks with his past to ï¬nd a new direction. The assassinations of Dr. King and Robert Kennedy, however, disrupt his plans. Finally, his 1-A status throws into question his ultimate destiny.
