The Vanished Diamond

Volume 25 of 54 of Jules Verne's "Extraordinary Voyages", first printed in 1885. After numerous scientific experiments, French engineer Victor Cyprien claims to invent an artificial diamond. Using this diamond as an integral part of his marriage proposal to Alice, his love, things are starting to look up. After the diamond disappears, Victor embarks on a hunt for the diamond and its thief, Mataki. This particular edition is reproduced from English-edition public works, and is presented simply with an emphasis on straightforward presentation, attractiveness and continuity of appearance, with each title in the "Extraordinary Voyages" sporting a journal-style brown cover accompanied by a cover illustration and quote from the text on the back cover.
