It might be in the water. Or the air. Or the food. No one knows.

One thing is clear: something is happening to the men of Crystal Canyon. Little by little, they’re losing their free will. Whenever one of these hapless males hears a woman’s command, he can’t help himself. He must obey.

Until now, Crystal Canyon has been a pretty cool place for men. The local college trains business and engineering majors. The boys aren’t punished for crazy parties or harassing the girls. Then there are the miners and analysts who work for Talbot Industries. Pretty much everything about Crystal Canyon has favored the male population.

Until now.

It starts with Dr. Elizabeth Hunt, the psychologist who first notices the new phenomenon. Like many other women, she doesn’t have anything against men—but these new developments open her eyes. She, like the other women of Crystal Canyon, gets a taste of power, and she won’t be able to give it up.

The college boys will be humiliated. The husbands will be trained. The arrogant businessmen and politicians who carelessly wielded their authority will all be brought low. Maybe it’s human nature. Maybe it’s divine retribution. One way or another, the men must accept the women as their handlers, trainers, and—ultimately—as their owners.

When men can’t fight back, they’ll become slaves. The boys will be dressed up in adorable little outfits. Since they can’t be trusted to think for themselves, they won’t be trusted with anything beyond servitude. Some of the girls might be kind; others will be cruel.
