Focusing on Results! Applications Involving LIDAR and Digital Imaging Technologies

This ebook is a picture essay illustrating current applications of LIDAR (light detection and ranging) and various complementary digital imaging technologies. The applications illustrated here depict deployment of these technologies both in the air and on the ground. Such applications are often intended to measure, locate, and/or visualize complex scenes composed of both natural and manmade objects. It is interesting to note that such scenes may concurrently involve situations both above/below the ground and/or above/below water.

This ebook is NOT intended to catalog all the current applications of LIDAR and/or digital imaging technologies in use throughout the world. It simply illustrates enough applications to illustrate what can be done today and what might be able to be accomplished at some time in the near future.
